This vintage embroidered patch is likely from the Waukesha Valentine A-B Open, an annual invitational swim meet hosted by the Waukesha YMCA in Wisconsin, believed to have begun around 1973.

Care & Maintenance
To care for your hat, spot-clean gently with cool water and a mild soap (avoid soaking the foam front or putting it in the washing machine). Reshape and air-dry. Store it brim-up to help it keep its structure.
If the foam gets dented or bends, a handheld steamer works great to relax it back into shape — just steam lightly and let it cool.
